How did you find out about ATE?
I was an ATE kid! After going on my first Superweek during the Easter holidays when I was about 11/12 I was hooked and my Mum booked me on another for that Summer…and every Summer after that! I couldn’t miss out on the fun because I was too old so decided to train as a monitor!
What do you do in the ‘real’ world?
I am a Beauty Therapist in the ‘real’ world and also a Business Management degree student. I think I’m pretty much in the minority when it comes to not having a teacher-y type role within the monitor world – but my face mask and nail painting club seemed to go down a treat this Easter so maybe I’ll stick with it for now!
One thing you can’t stand?
Lateness – now this could be down to my job and people thinking it’s okay to be 20 minutes late for an hour long appointment…In other situations late is okay (I also don’t like fibbing so I will admit i’m often ‘fashionably late’ for friends oops!)
What do you like doing in your spare time?
Spare time for me usually involves seeing friends and family, whether its going to dinner, watching a film or just catching up!
Do you have any hidden talents?
No, I wish I did! Or maybe I do…but it wouldn’t be hidden if I told you?
What are you most excited for this Summer?
ATE/Colony’s 50th anniversary! It will be nice to catch up and meet other ATE/
Colony staff and celebrate such a milestone in running such a fab organisation for kids!
Hope everyone has an amazing time on their Superweeks this Summer!
