Barton Camp
Barton Camp, North Somerset, near Bristol.
When Barton Camp isn’t being used for ATE Superweeks, it is a permanent residential holiday centre near Bristol for schools, charities and Youth Groups. It has its very own swimming pool, lovely dormitories and heaps of grounds to explore. Bristol Children’s Help Society (BCHS) is the charity responsible for Barton Camp, at different points of the year they run their own camps for disadvantaged children in the Bristol area. We feel very lucky to be able to use Barton for some of our Superweeks!
“ Barton Camp is a lovely centre with loads of activities to keep busy. My favourites were the fire pit, swimming pool and the playgrounds! I hope I get the opportunity to stay here again.”

In previous years at Barton we have:
- Used rubber ducks as currency after a game of de-quack-alon
- Created amazing short films
- Slid down the slide really fast
- Searched for ‘Queen Bee’ and all her friends
- Made stick rafts.
- Played an epic game of ‘Scream Run’
There’s a pool at this centre!
