Y7 Pupil leads fundraiser after best friend benefits from the Adventure Appeal | April 2015

Family 80’s Charity Shindig Fundraising Evening

A year 7 student and his family arranged a fundraising event to raise money for The Adventure Appeal after his best friend benefited hugely from a Superweek place thanks to The Adventure Appeal last year. He’s a pupil at one of the schools that regularly nominates children to benefit from Adventure Appeal funding, and took it upon himself to do some fundraising of his own! What a superstar.

We heard from Liz who went along to the event to represent ATE:

“It was such a great fundraising night last night; raffles, hog roasts, and lot of fun and dancing, and it was made all the more magic that the entire event was master minded by M. a year 7 student who has seen first hand what a Superweek can do for a child. M. pledged in January to raise enough money to enable an extra child to attend this summer, and it looks likely he might be funding three or four!
What an incredible young man!”
